BC Today is a political news publication designed for those working in-and-around British Columbia politics. Our daily news briefings include detailed coverage of the news-of-the-day, an agenda of upcoming debates and votes, listings for political events and more. BC Today‘s full-time reporter Shannon Waters works out of the B.C. Legislature (while keeping one eye on #bcpoli Twitter) to make sure you always know what is going on in the B.C. bubble.

BC Today’s sister publication, Queen’s Park Today, has been a trusted news source in the Ontario political sphere for over five years. Queen’s Park Today’s subscriber-base is composed of thousands of professionals working within political parties, unions, not-for-profits, the public service, law firms, industry associations and the private sector.

Both publications pride themselves on being 100% objective and 100% independent. BC Today is a member of the National News Media Council.

Most recently, Shannon Waters was the news director for Vista Radio in Prince George. Shannon has also covered politics, policy and current events for Co-op Radio’s Redeye show.  She has experience working for various BC government ministries and as a communications coordinator during Vancouver’s 2014 municipal election.
